Both my guys from Arsenal and Man U escaped with narrow wins to advance to the fourth round of The FA Cup. Both guys won by identical scores of 1-0. My Gunners needed a late goal by Jack Wilshere in the 86th minute. Wilshere nailed a bomb from just outside the top of the box.
We had our chances but we couldn’t push the rock past the goal line. The effort was better but we still lack-scoring punch. This performance proves my point Wenger needs to get the guys ready to play on a day in and day out basis.
This sucker should have been over by midway through the second half. We played well on the defensive end. Yet we can’t handily beat clubs that are below us. What do you think will happen against the top clubs? The evidence is in our record no wins against the likes of Man U, City, and Chelsea.
Wenger told www.arsenal.com “We persevered and were rewarded.”
How about the guy’s performance?
“We had a better team balance tonight and created chance after chance, especially in the second half but even in the first half we created chances. It was unbelievable that we couldn’t score, but we got it in the end. We persevered and were rewarded and we had a good performance. It gives you a lot of regrets that we played with 10 men on Sunday when you see our second half and our game tonight. It is important that we continue to develop like that as a team.
On the Wilshere goal? Yes, he was outstanding tonight. I felt many players played well. As a team we played well and he was in a different position, he was high up and it suits him well. I have no experience of player being out for 17 months in my whole career, but honestly I always said that if we got Jack on January 1, then we would have done well. But he is ahead of what I could imagine.”

Man U should have put this sucker away earlier. The Rooney man scored in the ninth minute and he wore the choke collar in the 79th minute. Rooney split the uprights. This is good in the NFL but not in futebol.
This was the Rooney Man’s first action in three weeks.
Sir Alex and the boys were in control but they couldn’t find the scoring punch. Chicharito set up the lone goal of the match with a great cross.
Fourth round play in The FA Cup resumes on January 26th.
Chelsea had a chance to inch closer to the leaders but the Blues and Southampton tied two all. This tie could cost Chelsea big time.
The Blues jumped out to a 2-0 lead only to blow it. The Saints scored two second half goals by Rickie Lambert 58th minute and Jason Puncheon in the 75th minute to send the crowd at Stamford bridge home in a foul mood. They were downright pissed
Gunner for life.

My DVR has been set , all I need to make sure of , is that there’s enough beer in the house , as I’ll be entertaining several buddies this weekend for the NFL conference championship games as well as catching up on the EPL games .
Are you happy with the Eagles’ hiring of Kelly ?
January 18, 2013 at 2:56 pm
I didn’t expect it. Am I happy No but we will see what happens. 49ers and Pats in he super bore I mean super bowl.
January 20, 2013 at 9:08 am
The Eagles even with the hiring of Kelly , are still two to three years away from where they need to be , in order to seen as a legitimate contender within the NFC , much less the NFC East , itself .
January 20, 2013 at 1:55 pm
we will see. most of the pieces are in place. we need a QB. Vick isn’t the answer.
January 20, 2013 at 7:34 pm
The Eagles’ defense isn’t that good to begin with ! When was the last time you saw corner-back Nnamdi Asomugha tackle anyone in a game ?
January 20, 2013 at 7:57 pm
Never. How much if it had to with crappy coaching. The Eagles will clean house and bring in some better players.
January 21, 2013 at 6:37 am
Crappy coaching asides , the players were simply hopeless and not motivated to play with any goddamn pride ! Never mind , the salaries these guys earned in 2012 , for such a mediocre season within the NFC East !
January 21, 2013 at 2:46 pm
Andy Reid lost the players so this was a change was needed although it was a year too late
January 21, 2013 at 11:46 pm
I think that we can both agree that Reid should’ve stepped down after last season !

he should had his silly ass fired but the morons who run the club didn’t. Management can be real stupid.
